Saturdays are made of these
If there ever was a weekend I earned it would be this one.
Just the very act of coming and out of my office is a constant, major effort. How Malaysians don’t get existential about their daily routine is a mystery. This city is crazy.
Today was okay. Witnessed history. Najib taking over as President, Tun M coming in and saying he will re-join UMNO. Much to my husband’s bitterness. I have a blinding love for the old man myself. Then we had Japanese, I got myself a pair of shoes. The decison was a bit controversial between us, but it’s resolved now.
I also bought the coolest thing!! A penguin water dispenser! It is SO cool. Its height exactly the height between a cubicle’s table an the window, perfect. It carries 8 glasses of wate a day so you’re supposed to finish it by the end of today. I can’t wait to use it. Sigh, I am really adjusting to the office-rat life.
Later at night Saif was kind enough to make dinner for us. We caught up at his gorgeous apartment, conversing by the Kuala Lumpur skyline.
I have a great deal to think of today, but feeling unwell. Tummy.
